We invite you to become a participant in the All-Russian forum for the youth of the indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North, Siberia, and the Far East of Russia, «The Northern Russia,» in 2025. The event will take place at the Year-Round Youth Educational Center for Youth Tourism in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and will bring together young people aged 14 to 35: young public figures engaged in socially significant issues of small ethnic groups, language activists, ethnobloggers, designers, and young activists fr om the Movement of the First among the indigenous small-numbered peoples. «Russian North» is not just an educational forum, but a synthesis of diverse cultures, unique traditions, and modern approaches to addressing pressing issues. The main focus of the forum will be the preservation of the languages and cultures of the indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North. The All-Russian Youth Forum of Indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North, Siberia and the Russian Far East, «The Northern Russia» platform of the ’Rosmolodezh. Events’ finished in Salekhard. Participants presented their developments on the courses: «Rossever. Community», «Rossever. Image», «Rossever. Content», «Rossever. Native Languages», «Rossever. Tourism», united into a single educational program of the forum in the fields of developing leadership initiatives, promoting native languages of indigenous peoples, developing tourism in the Russian Arctic, youth approaches to promoting national clothing and creating unique media content.
The team of the «Rossever. Native Languages» field presented developments of language cards in the participants’ native languages, phrasebooks, and Mafia game in Komi-Izhem, Altai and Khanty languages.
Participants of the «Rossever. Image» course presented sketches of a collection of modern casual clothes with ethnic elements, and participants of the «Rossever. Tourism» course developed ethno-routes in the regions wh ere the participants live. They also developed the content of such ethno-tours, sources of funding, strategies for scaling, and a created road map project for implementation.
Participants of the «Rossever. Content» proposed creating an information portal and its further media support with the help of young people living in the regions of the Russian Arctic and the Far East, and the participants of the course «Rossever. Community» created the information platform «ProRossever», which includes information about regional expert leaders in the in the field of activity of Indigenous minority of the North, Siberia and the Russian Far East including information about the most successful ethno-cultural practices of Russia regions, the legislative basis and other information that may be useful for young people in implementing their initiatives. According to the project authors’ opinion, such a resource will assist young people to find mentors. For this purpose, they have provided a function for communication with the platform experts via video calls and messengers. The experts of the presentation voiced their opinions on the presented initiatives.
On November 22, the closing ceremony of «The Northern Russia» Forum took place, where special guests awarded the most active participants of the forum and the winners of the ’Rosmolodezh.Grants’ competition. Four projects were awarded grants, with a total value of 1.3 million rubles.
