On the basis of the year-round historical and cultural center «Istoki», whose activities are dedicated to preserving historical heritage and educating young people spiritually, a forum with the same name will be held in Sevastopol. This event will bring together over 1,000 participants.
In 2025, the center has a special program for children and their parents that offers opportunities to gain new knowledge, participate in thematic classes, and spend quality time together. The «Istoki» center is the first place for families with children to learn together! The center invites families to join each event of the Istoki Forum.
The key topics of the center and the forum will include the study of Russian history and the achievements of prominent Russian figures, as well as celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland. Additionally, the focus will be on strengthening spiritual and moral values.
This year, participants in the Istoki Forum will have the opportunity to take part in six educational trips. Each trip will include both the main audience and families with children.
- Discovery (August 8-13) is designed for young students from higher theological institutions to exchange experiences and develop spiritual and educational initiatives for young people;
- Family Values (August 18-22) — for families with children aged 7 and above. The main focus of this event will be on building strong intergenerational relationships, strengthening family values, and exploring the importance of institutions such as upbringing and education in shaping and developing a child’s personality. In the context of the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland and the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, we will also pay special attention to exploring the family histories of our participants and the heroic deeds of their relatives during that time;
- Creation (August 27 — September 2) will gather students from creative educational organizations, young artists, and members of art associations as well as street performers. The main theme of their work will be creating an environment that inspires and immerses participants in Russian culture and history;
- Guardians of History (September 8 — 12) will welcome activists from children’s organizations to promote patriotism and develop spiritual and moral values. They will also foster a sense of responsibility towards the country;
- Roots.Media (September 17 — 21) will unite young media professionals to discuss spiritual and moral education. They will learn about working with media, methods of countering fake news, and information warfare;
- The School of Young Humanities will bring together students, teachers, and activists from public organizations to explore and discuss the cultural identity, values, and place of Russia among other civilizations from September 26 to 30.
